Linda and Dave wanted a classic lodge style vacation home to entertain their growing family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. In classic lodge style, this home features exposed beam detail, hand-framed vaults, tongue-and-groove ceilings and expansive space. The true masonry, two-sided fireplace is the showcase of the home. Dave loves the stone that was part of the Sisters facelift, but it wasn’t available. So we sourced similar materials to create the coveted look for the fireplace. Our blacksmith designed the raised bar and the screens for the fire along with the straps and bolts for the beams above. Linda chose the island stone, around which the entire kitchen was designed. The master features a giant soaking tub—a combination of natural stone and porcelain completes the soft lodge feel in this on-suite retreat. Indeed, each of the suites features a unique look that plays into the soft lodge and welcoming feel of the entire home.
